Education programs sponsored by the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts (VASWCD) provide opportunities for citizens of Virginia to become good stewards of the environment and natural resources for the benefit of all. The VASWCD develops and disseminates educational materials to assist the 47 local Soil and Water Conservation Districts in providing assistance to teachers. In addition, the VASWCD promotes three education programs: Envirothon, Youth Conservation Camp and Natural Resource Conservation Week.
